Program Overview

Arizona Behavioral Health Corporation (ABC) was incorporated in Arizona in 1997 for the purpose of facilitating the provision of quality services for Maricopa County residents who have behavioral health needs.  Funded by both public and private sources, ABC’s primary activities target the provision of housing services for those individuals with behavioral health needs.

Our programs include:

- Tenant Based Rental Assistance
- Section 8 Mainstream Program for persons with disabilities
- Permanent Housing for persons with HIV/AIDS
- Permanent Housing for persons with a serious mental illness
- Transitional Housing for homeless families
- Shelter Programs

News

Arizona Behavioral Health Corporation in collaboration with Valley of the Sun United Way and the Human Services Campus has successfully housed over 40 chronically homeless individuals utilizing extensive services using Housing First Methodology.  You can find more information on this project here.

Arizona Behavioral Health Corporation has housed 5 participants through Project H3, a local implementation of the nationwide 100,000 Homes Campaign through Common Ground in New York.  Project H3 is a Housing First project in the process of housing the 50 most vulnerable people on the streets of the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. Project H3 VETS is a special initiative based off Project H3 and the 100,000 homes campaign to house chronically homeless veterans. Project H3 VETS will use the Vulnerability Index Survey to prioritize the most medically vulnerable homeless veterans living on the streets in the Phoenix Metro area. The project will utilize the HUD-VASH supportive housing program to provide permanent housing and su...pportive services which includes case management, social support, and mental health services to chronically homeless veterans.
